This 1922 Triumph SD is a restored vehicle.
The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly ridden. Mileage is unknown.
Purchased as a restoration project in England from family who had owned it since the 1960s (see old photo of same bike). The SD replaced Triumph's belt-driven drive with a chain and new clutch design. Tank resealed and painted by The Finishing Touch in Chelmsford, UK. Colin East (UK), stripped the bike to conduct a full evaluation and professionally stove enameled the frame. I received the bike in 2008 but did not start work on the restoration until 2018.
The engine was professionally rebuilt here in Houston. I am responsible for the final assembly, overseen by two experts in New Zealand. It is currently not running and the fluids have been drained. It made a few pops when I last kicked it over but final fettling will be up to the new owner. It's got a new plug and the mag correctly set.
I have receipts for $10,300 which does not include shipping costs to USA and $2000 for the engine rebuild. I have a bill of sale from the owner and many photos and documentation. These docs include: several illustrated parts manual, a photocopy of the original owners manual, and the Bosch magneto manual. It has what appears to be the original acetylene headlamp with intact mirror.
This bike is offered as-is and where-is with no guarantees or return. You pay shipping. Funds must clear before bike is released. Cashiers check preferred. Call or email any questions. Once it sells the negotiations are finished. It then belongs to you. I've had this bike a long time and so am likely forgetting something.
