Triumph CN 498cc, 1929

Here we have for sale this very rare motorcycle that has been discovered, having been stored in a heated garage for the last 15 years of its 84-year life.

This model was produced from 1928 to 1931, with this being the better version available at the time, featuring a mag/dyno, electric lighting, a brass headlamp, and a rubber bulb brass horn.

The bike is virtually complete and appears to be corrosion-free. It has inflated tyres in excellent condition. The engine turns over easily and has very good compression.

Also included is some information and paperwork, including history, old tax discs, MOTs, etc.

Not having time to work on the bike myself, I believe that very little work would be required to complete the restoration of this lovely old motorcycle.

Negatives:
1. The existing 6V battery needs replacing.
2. Poor condition of the rear mudguard (a new one is included but will need painting).
3. Minor damage to the cylinder fins (very small areas broken—see photos).
4. Missing rear carrier and tool cases.
