Seller notes: “This is a little bit of a assortment of parts. The frame is Triumph as is the gearbox and engine. The wheels I think may be off something else. The forks are not British and are made by Tiger. The piston I think may be wrong in the engine as the barrel is currently propped up by about 5mm with spacers. It does all turn over and the engine has all its timing gears etc. The magdyno is a Bosch unit. It may well have spent some time abroad perhaps even in Germany hence the mismatched parts. The lower top tube on the frame where it kinks in for the engine top end has had an old repair but seems very solid.”

Description
Vintage pre war 1929 Triumph 550cc CSD side valve motorcycle project or good source of parts.
This is an abandoned project from a previous owner that needs somebody passionate and knowledgeable to take it on and get it going again.
No documentation with the bike sadly.
Engine number - CSD 602669 SRM Frame number - 806915, Gearbox number- 706611.
Looks to be a little bit of an assortment of parts here that has quite possibly spent some time in Europe...
So the frame, engine and gearbox are all Triumph for sure.
The wheels look European as are the Forks which are made by Tiger.
The engine turns over fine but I think it possibly has the wrong piston fitted at present as the barrel is propped up by about 5mm to allow the piston to clear the top of the cylinder... it may just be missing a base flange spacer but I don't know? All timing gears are inside the engine.
Magdyno is a Bosch unit which looks complete but as yet untested.
The gearbox and clutch looks good and selects all 3 gears and neutral.
The frame has had one old repair on the kinked in part on the lower top tube (See picture).
The frame may well suit I believe the CO and possibly CTT engines?? so would be a great opportunity for somebody maybe wanting to put together an OHV replica special?
Viewing is welcome of course but what you see is what you get. I have no other parts for this bike.
Overall, this will make a lovely pre war girder fork machine but just needs the time and knowhow putting in to get her right again.
If you have any questions or need any other pictures please do message me, and I will do my best to help where I can.
